Well I am almost 37 now but when I was about 14 my real brother and I found out mum had been pregnant at a young age before she married our dad, had the baby but then her mum made her adopt him out. Which was quite normal in those days. My mum was re united with him about 12 years ago but my brother and I have never met him. Unfortunately when mum died in 2003 I was the one who had to phone him and tell him the sad news, it was really hard telling him even though he was family but not really knowing who he is! We swapped emails for a while but then I lost his email address so we haven't been in touch for a few years. I really miss my mum even 5 years on and knowing how much he is like her, my brother and myself makes me really want to meet him, but neither my brother or myself could really afford the travel costs.
